Canoe Adventure

Spending a day with us in the camp gives families a chance to enjoy activities together, relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful clean Norwegian countryside.

 

The day starts at 10am from the harbour in Risør, from here we take Norway’s oldest wooden ferry across the fjord, then cycle the short distance to the wild camp.

 

Here we kit you out with life jackets and paddles and learn the basics of freshwater canoeing, before setting out across lake Skarvan into the wild.

We paddle across the lake to a hidden cave where we make camp (after checking for bears!) and cook lunch on the camp fire.  Here you can try some fishing too.

Then we paddle back to the base camp where you can relax by the fire and enjoy a hot drink before we cycle back to catch the last ferry home.
